Shantee El is a program coordinator who assists in the development and management of various projects within the Survey Research Unit. Prior to joining the Institute of Government in 2013, Shantee served as director of the Georgia Reapportionment Services Office and later as director of local redistricting for the Georgia General Assembly. In addition, she also served as the official state liaison to the U.S. Census Redistricting Data Office in preparation for the 2010 Census project. She has worked extensively in the public and private sector as a business analyst and database manager.

The chapel has been restored in a way that allows for its use by a wide variety of university and community groups for plays, concerts, lectures, weddings, meetings, and other special events. The Spalding Theater, which seats 240, and the Conference/Green Room, which seats 45, are rented to the public.
