Bio:

Stephanie Bales joined the Institute of Government in 2008 and has been employed at the University of Georgia since 1984. At the Institute of Government, she is the administrative manager of the Governmental, Training, Education, and Development division. Her major areas of responsibility are management and administration of the unit, including planning, organizing, and directing financial, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, and supervising operations. Prior to joining the Institute of Government, Stephanie spent almost 25 years in the College of Education where she served in a number of roles on the COE Staff Representative Group. In 2002, she was the recipient of the College of Education Staff Award for Excellence, the highest award given to a staff member within the college.

The chapel has been restored in a way that allows for its use by a wide variety of university and community groups for plays, concerts, lectures, weddings, meetings, and other special events. The Spalding Theater, which seats 240, and the Conference/Green Room, which seats 45, are rented to the public.
