Brian Simmons joined the Institute of Government’s Survey Research and Evaluation Unit in 2013, where he develops and implements appropriate research methodology for evaluation and survey projects. Brian has over 175 hours of training in evaluation methods and is a certified Qualtrics Gold Insight Professional. He previously worked as a clinical social worker providing mental health and substance abuse assessments. His clinical background and skillset are valuable assets in primary data collection. He is adept with both qualitative and quantitative methodology. His doctoral dissertation project in UGA’s School of Social Work is an examination of religious orientation and spiritual trauma in LGBTQ+ persons.

The chapel has been restored in a way that allows for its use by a wide variety of university and community groups for plays, concerts, lectures, weddings, meetings, and other special events. The Spalding Theater, which seats 240, and the Conference/Green Room, which seats 45, are rented to the public.
