Expertise: Demographics



As a demographer, Jeffrey supports the Institute of Government’s public service mission by developing estimates and projections for the State of Georgia, as well as for sub-populations at the local, county and regional levels. Through policy-oriented demographic research, the Institute helps governments make better data-informed decisions and develop effective policies to address the issues that arise in the face of Georgia’s rapidly changing age structure and racial-ethnic composition. Jeffrey received his training at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he is completing a Ph.D. in applied demography from the College of Public Policy. Previously, he worked briefly for the U.S. Census Bureau and as a career journalist and publisher in Mexico and other markets.

The chapel has been restored in a way that allows for its use by a wide variety of university and community groups for plays, concerts, lectures, weddings, meetings, and other special events. The Spalding Theater, which seats 240, and the Conference/Green Room, which seats 45, are rented to the public.
