McDonough City Council to hold retreat Jan. 11

The McDonough City Council is holding its retreat on Jan. 11.

The retreat, which is an all-day affair, starts at 10 a.m. and will be held at the Georgia Meeting Room in the Comfort Suites, located at 64 Ga. Highway 81 West, not far from Interstate 75’s Exit 218.

According to the schedule, the retreat is set to conclude at 5 p.m. The retreat will be overseen by Gordon Maner, a facilitator from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia.

According to a notice from the city of McDonough, the council and other city officials will discuss a variety of topics, such as strategic planning, current legislation, ordinance revisions and other city matters.

The retreat is open to the public.
