Oconee County’s new County Clerk comes to Watkinsville from Walton County: Holly Stephenson has worked most recently as a Risk and Liability Specialist for the Walton County government, a job she’s held since 2013. Stephenson was chosen as Oconee County’s County Clerk at this week’s meeting of the Oconee County Commission.

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners appointed Holly Stephenson to be the new Oconee County Clerk, effective Monday, May 24, at its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
Stephenson, an Oconee County native and current resident, has served as the Risk and Liability Specialist for the Walton County Board of Commissioners since 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Risk Management/Insurance from the University of Georgia and is a graduate of the Walton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Walton program. In addition, she earned a Human Resource Manager certification from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia.
