Danelle Murray, senior technical analyst for the Roswell Environmental Public Works Department, was selected Professional Manager of the Year in Water Resources by the American Public Works Association.
The award was presented at the Georgia Chapter of the association’s annual meeting in Jekyll Island.
Murray was recognized for leading innovations in water system modeling, storm water modeling, promotion of sustainable infrastructure and technical training of water resources staff. She was also recognized for her service as a technical instructor for the Public Works Management Institute managed by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
Her skills and abilities have allowed Roswell to institute alternative measures for managing storm water in new development such as rain gardens and pervious pavement in lieu of detention ponds.
