      - Every spring semester, over 50 junior and senior students from Georgia's public and private universities and colleges intern with the Georgia General Assembly. These students gain first-hand experience in the lawmaking process through the Georgia Legislative Internship Program (GLIP). The GLIP was created in the 1970s under the leadership of then Lt. Governor Zell Miller and is a paid internship opportunity coordinated by the Georgia General Assembly.

UGA Creates Workforce Planning Guide

Experts at the University of Georgia's Vinson Institute of Government have partnered with Georgia Power to provide communities across the state with a comprehensive and accessible resource to address the growth opportunities provided by new industries. In fiscal year 2022, Georgia's economy gained 51,138 jobs and $21.2 billion in investment, according to state data.

Emanuel County Commissioner Timothy Oliver recognized for Academic Achievement in Lifelong Learning Academy: ACCG Awards Education Certificates to County Officials

The Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG or Georgia's County Association) recently awarded county officials with certificates for completing core requirements in the ACCG Lifelong Learning Academy. Oliver was honored during the Association's 2023 Annual Conference at the Savannah Convention Center in Chatham County.
