The Georgia Department of Administrative Services Human Resource Administration has partnered with the Institute of Government to develop a state workforce strategy and develop career paths for in-demand state jobs. The collaborative project kicked off in January with a webinar. The webinar discussed Georgia’s changing demographics, labor market and state government workforce trends. As part of the project, four priority occupations areas will be identified and then work teams will develop specific workforce strategies and career paths per occupation. The Institute of Government is facilitating this project in partnership with the state’s Department of Administrative Services, the Technical College System of Georgia, the University System of Georgia, Georgia Department of Education and the Office of Planning and Budget.
