Jekyll Island Authority seeks public input to inform update of master plan

The Jekyll Island master plan project has entered the public input phase.

Writer: Courtney Alford-Pomeroy

The Jekyll Island master plan update has entered the public input phase. The project is a partnership between the Institute of Government and the Jekyll Island Authority.

Public input opportunities include a session from 5 to 7 p.m. June 16 at Jekyll Island Convention Center as well as a web-based survey at http://survey.uga.edu/Jekyll. Public input will help the Jekyll Island Authority carefully plan for the needs and priorities of the area’s visitors and residents. The fast-paced project is an update to the 2014 plan. This master plan update will incorporate community feedback and outline the Jekyll Island Authority’s overall strategy and goals and how it builds upon accomplishments driven by the 2014 Master Plan.

The report should be available by the end of the year.
