The Institute of Government’s signature finance program, the Public Finance Leadership Academy, has successfully wrapped its first cohort and is preparing to launch its second.
Offered in partnership between the Carl Vinson Institute of Government and the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association, PFLA equips new and emerging public-sector financial management leaders with the knowledge they need to successfully manage the fiscal affairs and activities of a local government. Participants in this 6-month cohort program work with peers, industry professionals and leadership experts to take their skills to the next level. The inaugural cohort graduated in late June. Applications are now available for the second cohort, which will run from October 2021 through April 2022. Applications are available at https://cviog.uga.edu/pfla and are due Sept. 24.
