Elective - Leadership Development Track

Economic developers work with a wide variety of individuals, groups, organizations, associations and jurisdictions, not always of their choosing.  Since leadership always involves other people, at its essence leadership is a relationship.  This makes how economic developers relate to others, including each other, critical to being effective leaders.  This course will utilize a variety of exercise and self-assessments to enhance awareness of self and knowledge of others, strengthen essential communication skills and appreciate leadership as a relationship. 

Learning objectives:
