Payroll is the most significant expenditure in a government's budget. As such, the process would benefit from a strong system of internal control.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • define the payroll process

  • recall components and principles of internal control

  • explain how creating and documenting a system of internal control can assist management in meeting payroll objectives
