Bio:
April Howard joined the Institute of Government in 2022 after serving in the public school environment as a teacher, school/district administrator, and superintendent. April has worked with local boards of education, as well as serving on boards for state charter schools, regional educational services agencies, and local economic development and leadership roles. As superintendent, April led the charge and partnered with economic development leaders to launch a college and career center. She served as chair for the board of a state charter school and is active in education and leadership organizations across the state. April facilitates local board trainings, leadership development courses, and works on special projects for the Institute of Government.
