The University of Georgia works to enhance the cybersecurity infrastructure in communities across the state through its CyberArch program. Now UGA is poised to expand CyberArch, train and empower more students interested in cybersecurity careers and increase its cybersecurity impact across the state Georgia thanks to funding from Google.
The University of Georgia CyberArch program has worked to provide free cyber security reviews for local government, school systems and hospitals.
The revitalization of downtown Thomson has been one of its priorities since the UGA Archway Partnership(TM) started working with the community in 2017. There has been a range of projects to improve downtown since then, including the comprehensive Renaissance Strategic Visioning Program (RSVP) with the UGA Institute of Government. Among the many recommendations the community identified during the RSVP process was additional gathering space downtown, such as a playground or additional greenspace.
