Christopher manages the Information Technology Outreach Services’ data analytics and
visualizations team, which delivers project support across a range of local, state
and federal agencies.
Before stepping into his current role, Christopher first interned with ITOS as a student
in 1998, helping to create a statewide transportation layer. He returned to Athens
and ITOS in 2001. Since then, he has worked on various projects, including parcel
mapping, hydrography dataset creation and transportation routing, school rezoning
and GPS field data collections. In 2005, he was elected to the executive committee
for the University of Georgia Staff Council. In 2006, he served as chair for the Public
Service and Outreach Staff Representative Group, creating the prestigious Staff Award
for Excellence. Christopher volunteers as an instructor for the UGA Karate Club and
Dancing with the Athens Stars.
