Governance Leadership Team

Board of education members can enhance their leadership abilities and strengthen their knowledge about effective board governance through in-depth training that our experts provide around the state. We offer specialized training for both local schools and charter schools. For local schools, our curriculum meets the annual training requirements set by the Georgia Department of Education.

Online Course: Open Meetings for Schools

We offer an online course for elected Georgia public school board of education members and board members of locally-approved charter schools. The Online Schools Open Meetings course provides an overview of the Open Meetings laws and procedures for Georgia schools. The content is designed for those who work with or in local governments, including school systems or charter schools.

School Finance

We offer a school accounting certificate program. The School Financial Accounting Personnel Certificate Program is a professional learning program designed for K-12 school-based support personnel who are responsible for the day-to-day operation of school accounting and funds, budgets, purchasing, payroll processing and ensuring a school’s financial procedures are in line with local board policies, state and federal laws.
