Tanisha Arthur is a Public Service Faculty member in the institute’s Government Services and Research
Division, where she teaches courses in the Budget and Financial Management Certification
Program. She is passionate about helping state finance professionals build the skills
and confidence they need to succeed in public service. Tanisha brings more than a decade of private-sector experience in the entertainment and music
industry, along with a strong background in federal, county, and state government.
She previously served as budget director at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs,
where she led a $308 million budget and supported leadership through training and
development. In addition to her teaching role, she serves as the Program and Professional
Development Chairperson for the Georgia Fiscal Management Council (FMC). Her areas
of expertise include training, leadership, accounting, finance, auditing, and problem-solving.
