Four University of Georgia undergraduate students in the Vinson Institute Fellows Program concluded their semester-long research projects by giving presentations to Institute of Government faculty and staff at a gathering earlier this month.
Local officials from throughout Georgia achieved Local Finance Officer Certification in the first quarter of 2014 for strengthening their management knowledge through a financial management training program offered by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
Sixteen representatives from the Governors Association of Korea (GAOK) studied effective local and state governance April 7-19 during a two-week training program administered by the Institute of Government's International Center. The Institute, in partnership with GAOK, hosts two delegations a year for short-term training. This year's training theme is "Best Practices in U.S. Local and State Governments."
