Cherokee County employees have created a new food pantry as part of a community service project.
Twenty-five Cherokee County employees participated in the Carl Vinson Institute of Georgia's Management Development Program to create the Carl Vinson Food Pantry.
The University of Georgia Institute of Government has partnered with the Georgia Downtown Association (GDA) and Georgia Power to launch the Certified Downtown Professional Certificate Program. This new training series helps downtown professionals gain the skills and knowledge to boost community and economic development in downtown districts.
Registration is open for the next quarterly session, which will take place Nov. 13 and 14 in Americus.
