Georgia Criminal Justice Data Landscape Report
The UGA Institute of Government provides Georgia Criminal Justice Data Landscape Reports as a service to public and policymakers interested in the state’s criminal justice system.
This report provides data on criminal justice topics and data trends much like an almanac, including information on Georgia’s adult and juvenile justice reforms and how they have impacted criminal justice data trends.
The data suggest areas where further research may be needed, such as why trends are changing for certain geographic areas or populations.
This report serves as a go-to source for data, charts, and explanatory narrative to offer context, historical perspective and insights into criminal justice trends in Georgia. Trend data on arrests and incarceration as well as data on youth in the justice system offer insights by region, race/ethnicity and sex.
