Administrative Manager; State Services and Decision Support



Melanie Hardman serves as the administrative assistant to the director of the State Services and Decision Support division. Her major areas of responsibility are management and administration of the unit. She acts as liaison between departments and administrative offices in financial matters, policies, procedures, and deadlines. She is also responsible for processing paperwork for position searches and overseeing the hiring of all new employees in the division. Melanie has been with the Institute of Government since 1990. In 2015, she received the Public Service and Outreach Staff Award for Excellence.


The chapel has been restored in a way that allows for its use by a wide variety of university and community groups for plays, concerts, lectures, weddings, meetings, and other special events. The Spalding Theater, which seats 240, and the Conference/Green Room, which seats 45, are rented to the public.
