Leigh Askew Elkins, senior public service associate with the Planning & Environmental Policy Program at the Institute of Government, was honored with the 2021 Walter Barnard Hill Award for Distinguished Achievement in Public Service & Outreach from the UGA Office of Vice President for Public Service.
Tuesday was Assistant County Manager Andy Welch's last day working for the Bulloch County government, after almost 21 years, and the day began with a meeting of his now former employers, the Board of Commissioners.
