      - Every spring semester, over 50 junior and senior students from Georgia's public and private universities and colleges intern with the Georgia General Assembly. These students gain first-hand experience in the lawmaking process through the Georgia Legislative Internship Program (GLIP). The GLIP was created in the 1970s under the leadership of then Lt. Governor Zell Miller and is a paid internship opportunity coordinated by the Georgia General Assembly.

Peachtree Corners Councilmember Eric Christ Receives Certificate of Excellence

Councilmember Eric Christ, who represents District 2 of the City of Peachtree Corners, received the Certificate of Excellence from the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute during the Georgia Municipal Association's (GMA) Cities United Summit in Atlanta on January 22. Councilmember Christ was one of just 22 city officials statewide to receive this honor at the summit.

Technical College System of Georgia Launches Senior Leadership Academy

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) recently launched its Senior Leadership Academy, a professional development program designed to promote career advancement within TCSG and its 22 colleges across Georgia. The first cohort of 25 participants met at TCSG's system office for a two-day session led by Dr. Alvetta Thomas.
