UGA Institute of Government trains record number of city officials at Cities United

More than 1,000 city officials from throughout Georgia enhanced their leadership skills and earned recognition through the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute at the recent 2024 Cities United Summit. Cities United was presented Jan. 26-29 in Atlanta. The Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute, a cooperative effort of the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) and the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government, provides training opportunities for city officials. The January event saw a record number of 1,395 training registrations, and more than 150 officials were honored for their commitment to professional development.
