As a student employee of the Institute of Government’s Survey Research and Evaluation Support division, Kailani Restrepo has been able to use research skills she has learned in the classroom to explore real-world issues. She plans to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology so she can explore culturally informed treatment plans for marginalized communities. Kailani hopes to make a difference in people’s lives and says working at the institute has fueled her excitement for a future career in research.
