The Georgia Department of Administrative Services Human Resource Administration has partnered with the Institute of Government to develop a state workforce strategy and develop career paths for in-demand state jobs.
According to the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, the feds distributed nearly $6.9 million in "equitable sharing payments of cash and sale proceeds" to Georgia law enforcement agencies in 2020. More than $5.5 million of that was in cash. Legislation introduced last year seeking due process went nowhere.
In Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp's announcement earlier this week of almost $408 million in preliminary awards to help provide access to faster and more reliable broadband to communities, households, and businesses, Walton County was one of the recipients.
