Hannah is working with David Tanner in State Service and Decision Support.
Hannah is an honors senior pursuing bachelor’s degrees in Statistics and International Affairs, a minor in Spanish, and a certificate in Applied Data Science. This Alpharetta native has spent her time in Athens supporting her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, leading the UGA chapter of AIESIC as president, and directing the policy research board for SGA. She has studied abroad in Buenos Aires and worked for the UGA en Buenos Aires program as an assistant. Hannah holds research interests in big data, statistics, and their application to government and policy development.
Austin is working with Rusty Brooks in the International Center.
Austin Emery is a senior from Cumming, Ga pursuing a double major in International Affairs and Political Science. He is a Security Leadership Scholar at the UGA Center for International Trade and Security and writes for the Georgia Political Review. Austin is also an undergraduate researcher at the School of Public and International Affairs, where his research interests focus on economic statecraft and democracy. Austin is interested in international energy policy, economic sanctions, and in particular, how Georgia’s economy is viewed on the world stage.
Jacquelyn is working with Kris Sikes in Strategic Operations and Planning Assistance.
Jacquelyn hails from Camas, Wa and is pursuing a double major in Political Science and International Affairs. Her time at UGA has included serving as a research assistant for SPIA faculty, completing a year-long term as a Russell Security Leadership Program Scholar, and an Honors Policy Scholar. Jacquelyn’s community involvement shines as she has and continues to hold leadership positions as an Arch Society ambassador, president of UGA’s Moot Court Team, a UGA Judiciary Justice, an orientation leader, and a SPIA ambassador. She has research interests in nuclear nonproliferation and trade security.
Magali is working with Stacy Jones in Governmental Training, Education, and Development
Magali is an honors senior from Atlanta double majoring in International Affairs and French, with a minor in Public Policy and Management in SPIA. She has served as a PSO Scholar with the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, a Roosevelt Policy Scholar, and a LEAD Diversity Fellow. Magali has internship experience with the Economic Justice Coalition, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights under Law, and as an undergraduate research assistant in SPIA. Her community involvement includes leadership positions in the UGA chapter of NAACP, the Black Affairs Council, AIESIC, and Athens 4 Everyone. Magali continues to increase her passion for service as a 2018 Humanities in Action Fellow. Magali has research interests in criminal justice, immigration, and social welfare in the US and the global south.
