Staffing Studies

Page Menu

We review your city or county department’s workload and performance measures and those of comparable governments to assess appropriate staffing needs. Initial actions consist of an overall review of positions and respective responsibilities, services and activities.

Our faculty utilize several research methods to assess the operations of the department to be studied, such as

  • developing background on the department by reviewing staffing levels, budget size, work flow and use of information technology

  • interviewing staff to obtain operational-specific data to facilitate access to data and potentially identify other key staff to be interviewed

  • reviewing data, presenting findings and providing associated advisement

    • departmental review reports will be based upon best practices, academic and professional literature and our faculty’s extensive experience
