Three Ways to Participate in MDP

MDP is a 20-day program that extends over seven to eight months. Courses are offered in two-day modules in an informal learning environment. Instructors use facilitated learning techniques that encourage active class participation.

Participants in our Management Development Program complete a project that impacts their community.

Participants who successfully complete the course receive the “Certificate of Local Government Management,” awarded by the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government. The continuing education credits earned in this program can be applied toward certain other local government certification programs. The program is P.O.S.T certified and GFSTC approved.
